4 checks

TikTok runs them on every application

You cannot open a TikTok Shop US account from here. It has nothing to do with your product.

TikTok runs four checks before it looks at an application. A US company. A US address. A US bank account in that company's name. A US based person who is responsible for the account. Miss one and you are out. The cross border programme that lets sellers ship in from abroad is only open to China and Hong Kong, and it tightened again in February 2026.

The brands from Australia, the UK, Europe and Canada that are selling there today did not find a loophole. They passed all four checks the proper way, with a company they own, a bank account they control, and a real US representative who is disclosed to TikTok and holds nothing of theirs. They own 100% of the company, the account and the money. On Wednesday we put the four checks on screen and show you what passes each one.

$23.41B

projected US TikTok Shop sales in 2026, up 48% on last year. The door is closed to you while that grows.

475,000

US shops, more than half sold nothing in 2025. The ones that win have a real brand and a real product. You have that.

One appeal.

Fail verification and you get one appeal, then you are stuck. The order you do things in decides it.

What most brands try instead, and where it goes wrong

Brands from outside the US get in one of three ways. They ask a friend in America to be the responsible person on the account. They find a relative, sometimes a long lost one. Or they pay a stranger on Fiverr or Upwork to do it.

Each one works right up until it does not. None of them are bound to you. No contract, no governance, no insurance, and no way to replace them when they move, fall out with you or stop answering. And under most of these, the company is set up in a way that does not match what TikTok expects. You end up building a US business on someone else's goodwill.

The safe version is not a trick. It is the structure TikTok expects, with a representative who is properly appointed on paper, can be replaced, and can never touch your money, your logins or your company.

In 60 minutes you will know

1

Why you are locked out.

The four checks, in TikTok's own words, and why a foreign owned company fails even when everything looks right.

2

The three things that pass all four checks.

We call them Entity, Bank, Rep. What each one is, why TikTok accepts it, and why it works.

3

The order to do them in, and how the tax side works so nothing lands on the wrong person.

Get the sequence wrong and you fail verification with no way back.

4

The three ways brands from outside the US get stuck or shut down.

Relying on a friend, a relative or a stranger from Fiverr, and a company set up the wrong way. And how a properly appointed representative is set up so they can never touch your money, your logins or your company.

Who this is for

This is for you if

you own a brand with real products already selling on Amazon, Shopify or a marketplace at home, you are based in Australia or New Zealand, and you want your own US company and your own TikTok Shop US account with nobody holding a share of it.

It is not for you if

you do not have a product selling anywhere yet, or if you are looking for a friend, a relative or a stranger to put their name on your shop with no contract, no insurance and no way to replace them. That is what gets brands stuck or shut down, and we will show you why.

Frequently asked questions

Can a brand outside the US sell on TikTok Shop US? +

Yes, with the structure TikTok requires. A US company you own, a US bank account in its name, and a representative who is disclosed to TikTok. What TikTok does not allow is hiding who is behind the account. We show you exactly where the line is.

Could this get my accounts banned? +

The shortcuts can. A friend or relative who was never properly appointed, a stranger from Fiverr, a shared login, or a company set up the wrong way for TikTok. The structure we teach is the one TikTok expects, and the session shows you how to tell the difference.

Who controls the account and the money? +

You do. The company is yours, the bank account is yours, and a properly appointed representative has no access to either. We show you how it is set up so it stays that way.

Will I end up with a US tax problem? +

Your US company files its own returns, like any US company. We explain what that looks like and what to avoid so nothing lands on you personally or on the representative.

How long does it take? +

Typically 6 to 12 weeks from starting to a live shop, most of it waiting on banks and TikTok. The session covers the order that avoids the delays.

I already sell on Amazon US through my home company. Does this apply to me? +

Yes. TikTok Shop US does not accept the structure Amazon accepts. That difference is most of what we cover.

Will you be selling something? +

We will explain how we do the three steps for brands, and how to apply if you want that. The session stands on its own whether you apply or not.

Is there a replay? +

No. This is a live session and it is not recorded for distribution, because of the legal and financial detail in it. If you want it, be in the room. Bring your questions, there is time for them at the end.

What does it cost to do this properly? +

We cover that live, alongside what it costs to do it wrong, which is the more important number.

Is this for my time zone? +

2pm Sydney, 1pm Brisbane, 11am Perth and 4pm Auckland. Sydney is on daylight saving from 4 October, so check your own clock if you are outside Australia. If you are somewhere else you are welcome to join, at whatever that time is where you are.

Can I send someone from my team? +

Yes, register them with their own email so they get their own link.

Your brand is ready. The paperwork is the problem. Fix it the way TikTok requires, and keep 100%.
